PROJECT
This project focused on designing a high-fidelity mobile app prototype specifically for the Baby Boomer generation. Before moving into visual design, we conducted user research to understand their needs, behaviors, accessibility considerations, and comfort levels with technology.
Using these insights, we developed a fully interactive high-fidelity prototype, created a presentation deck outlining our research and design process, and produced a 5-minute demo showcasing the final solution. The goal was to translate research into a polished, user-centered app concept that could be clearly communicated to stakeholders before development.
RATIONALE
PIG is an investment app designed to support Baby Boomers in planning and managing their retirement with confidence. The app simplifies investing and long-term savings through clear insights, intuitive visualizations, and goal-oriented tracking centered around retirement milestones. With accessibility and ease of use as core priorities, PIG is tailored to the technological comfort levels and usability needs of older users, emphasizing clarity, legibility, and straightforward navigation.
This six-person team project was grounded in user research, and my contributions focused on developing the app’s logo, crafting its slogan, and designing the onboarding experience to ensure it felt welcoming, trustworthy, and easy to navigate from the very first interaction.
